Ghatandevi Mandir

Distance - 1 km

Ghatandevi Mandir is a temple dedicated to Ghatan Devi - the protector of hills. The temple is located in a gorgeous valley with the majestic peaks of Harihar, Durvar Utvad and Trimbak forming a striking backdrop. Behind the temple lies the Tringalwadi Fort.

Tringalwadi Fort & Dam

Distance - 12 kms

Situated at an elevation of 3000 feet, Tringalwadi Fort is believed to have been constructed in the 10th century. The climb to the top is pretty easy and takes about 1.5 hours one side. From the top, the beautiful view of Kulang mountain ranges along with Kalsubai is visible that serves as the cherry on top.

Vaitarna Dam

Located on Vaitarna river, Vaitarna dam was built in the early 1950s. It is the chief source of water and electricity for people living in major parts of the Mumbai city. It is the first gravity dam of its kind. The best time to be here is in the months of June to September as the rains accelerate the beauty of this spot turning it into a heaven of greenery.

Bhauli Dam

Distance - 12 kms

A nice and less crowdy place to visit in Igatpuri. You will feel relaxed and awesome in the lap of nature. The best time to visit the place is between June to October when you can enjoy the greenery. Also, if you are a winter person you can enjoy the cold breezes here.

Vihigaon Waterfall & Dam

Distance - 10 kms

Vihigaon Waterfall guarantees you the best holiday gateway. To see the slope that falls over 1,000 feet, you need to walk over and take a look. The place offers you water rappelling and other sports to have fun with.

Kalsubai Peak

Darna Dam

Measuring 1,634 meters in length and standing at a height of 28 meters in height, Darna Dam was built in 1916 by the British Government in a total catchment area of around 404 square kilometers. Its is a gravity dam on Darna river near Igatpuri.

The Ghatandevi Temple is devoted to Goddess “Ghatandevi”, the protector of Ghats.

Randha Waterfall of Bhandardara: Hidden gem of Maharashtra, Randha waterfall is formed on the voluptuous Pravara River of Maharashtra. The Pravara River has its origin in the Kushi of Ratangadda. Before descending in to the valley, the Pravara River meanders through lush green forests for around 10 kilometers. The deep valley, which surrounds the Randha Valley is a visual delight! The temple of Ghorpada Devi is also built nearby. The white smoke of the water makes it atmospheric. Waterfall at Katalpur on the other side is also worth a dekko in the monsoon season! Randha falls is also known as the major source of hydropower in this region. This hidden gem of Maharashtra is a must-visit place.
Randha falls is also famous because it is the 3rd largest waterfall in entire Maharashtra. Personally, I feel that the Randha waterfalls is not only one of the best waterfalls of Maharashtra but also of entire India. This is why, Randha falls is the top tourist attraction of Bhandardara.
